The temperature and time of electrode paste sintering have a crucial impact on its performance. The control of sintering temperature and time is directly related to the density, porosity, mechanical strength, conductivity, and chemical stability of the electrode.

Sintering temperature:
If the sintering temperature is too low, the carbon particles in the electrode paste may not fully combine, resulting in low electrode density, insufficient mechanical strength, and easy detachment or wear.
If the sintering temperature is too high, it may cause excessive volatilization of the binder in the electrode paste or uneven graphitization, thereby affecting the structure and performance of the electrode.
Sintering time:
If the sintering time is too short, it may cause incomplete sintering of the electrode, affecting its density and mechanical properties.
If the sintering time is too long, it may lead to surface oxidation of the electrode or excessive consumption of internal binder, thereby affecting the conductivity and service life of the electrode.
In actual production, in order to obtain high-performance electrodes, it is necessary to determine the optimal sintering temperature and time through a large number of experiments based on specific electrode paste formulas and equipment conditions. In addition, it is necessary to consider factors such as differences in raw materials from different batches and changes in production environment, and adjust sintering process parameters in a timely manner to ensure the stability of electrode quality and performance.
